A couple in Calgary with family in Ontario, friends in Vancouver and relatives flying from overseas is an ordinary Canadian wedding, not an unusual one. Guests book flights months ahead, drive between provinces, and want to know whether February in Banff means boots or heels. Most of the planning tools couples reach for were built for a wedding where everyone lives forty minutes away.
That changes what a wedding website is for. It stops being a pretty announcement and becomes the place people check at 11pm while deciding which flight to book — which means the travel details, the shuttle times, the hotel block and the dress code need to be as easy to find as your names.
